As Wills Financial Group’s founder, Janet’s perspectives influence every aspect of our team’s work. Her goal is to provide financial management that supports each client with a consistent process of calculated investment and a good measure of common sense.

In a financial world that often feeds on hype and emotion, Janet brings composure and a commitment to helping clients hold fast to their long-term visions. She is an Investment Advisor Representative and has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ since 1984.

Janet currently serves as a board member of the Children’s Home Society Memorial Fund and Crossover Ministry Health Care. She is also a former chair of the Orchard House Board and member of the National Focus Board. Janet likes to hike, read, swim laps, and cheer for her hometown football team, the Crimson Tide.

Dick is an Investment Advisor Representative and a graduate of Virginia Tech. Over the years, his unique blend of technical and financial skills has helped to keep the firm on course.

In his spare time, Dick is an enthusiastic chef, hiker and fly fisherman. Consistent with his interest in local history, he engineered the renovation of an 1850s farmhouse in Amherst, Virginia, where he and Janet often spend weekends. Today it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Sissy believes the answers to many financial problems come to light through extensive research. Her previous work in law and real estate has provided her with complementary real-world experience which clients appreciate. She is a graduate of The Braxton School.

Currently, Sissy is active in her church, where she serves as historian. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with family.

Driven by her attention to detail and desire to solve problems, Grace is responsible for the firm’s compliance with industry regulations. In addition, she specializes in handling logistics, operations and administration. She is a University of Richmond graduate with a degree in Business Administration.

When she’s not taking off on a weekend trip, Grace enjoys reading, visiting museums and attending Bible study group.

Adam’s degree in economics from Columbia University has prepared him to track the ever-changing world economy. He is skilled at portfolio development and experienced in analysis and management of many different types of investments. Using various technological tools, he focuses on retirement planning as well as mortgage and student loan analysis.

Adam is also a junior board member of the Children’s Home Society, where he helps with teens who age out of foster care. He plays basketball regularly and rarely misses a UVA football game.

Alex Harper serves as an investment analyst and supports the team with company analysis, valuation and portfolio design. He joins us from the investment banking industry, where he served as an analyst in downstream energy. He holds a degree in accounting from Washington & Lee University and enjoys traveling, reading, and dining at Richmond restaurants.
