![]() Janet H. Wills, CFP ™
Janet founded Wills Financial Group with her husband Dick in 1989. Her years of experience in varying market conditions make her a natural as the firm’s chief investment strategist. Yet it’s her innate common sense that has been the key to success in financial planning. A graduate of Sullins College and Pennsylvania’s West Chester University, Janet is an Investment Advisor Representative and a Certified Financial Planner.
A big believer in the power of involvement, she has channeled her energy into volunteer work on the boards of FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools); King College; Good Shepherd Episcopal School; Orchard House School; Children’s Home Society of Virginia; and the Edna Gladney Center for Adoption. When Janet is not focused on finance, she hikes, reads, swims laps, and cheers for her hometown football team, the Crimson Tide. ![]() Richard B. Wills (Dick)
Dick left a 20-year career in engineering to help launch Wills Financial Group. A graduate of Virginia Tech, he is also an Investment Advisor Representative. Dick ensures WFG is always in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission by completing annual filings and staying abreast of the ever-changing regulatory environment.
Consistent with his interest in local history, Dick has spear-headed the couple’s renovation of an 1850s farmhouse, now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. When not at work in Richmond, he is an active member of Rotary International in Amherst and an avid chef, hiker and fly fisherman. ![]() Denise S. Dance (Sissy)

Sissy has served on the Finance Committee of her church and currently volunteers as Personnel Chairman and Worship Team Leader. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining, gardening and cooking meals for people in need. ![]() Mary Beth Nolan
